PURPOSE:To quickly determine an optimum direction for radiation by a method in which, for determining an optimum value of treatment effects on a focus in a patient's body, constraints are changed in an interactive manner to repeatedly solve linear procyramming problems so that a level of a radiation source is optimized. CONSTITUTION:According to a method of optimizing a radiotherapy system, a treatment programming apparatus 402 and a radiotherapy apparatus 404 are used. The treatment programming apparatus 402 has a means for making a treatment program based on a body cross-section image obtained from an imaging diagnostic apparatus and an input applied by an operator. The radiotherapy apparatus 404 has a controlling apparatus 405 for controlling positions and directions for a gantry 407, an irradiation head 40 and a treatment bed 409 and energy from an accelerator 406, based on the treatment program. With respect to a level of a radiation source distributed three-dimensionally relative to a focus in a patient's body, the level of the radiation source is optimized by a method in which, for determining an optimum value of treatment effects on a focus in a patient's body, constraints are changed in an interactive manner to repeatedly solve linear programming problems. |
