PURPOSE:To obtain a diazo thermal recording material excellent in the preservability (light fastness) of a color forming part by laminating a thermal recording layer containing a specific diazo compd., a specific coupling component and an org. base on a support. CONSTITUTION:A diazo thermal recording material is obtained by laminating a thermal recording layer containing a diazo compd. represented by the formula I [wherein R1 is -C(W1)(W2)-CH2-A (wherein W1 is an alkyl group, an aralkyl group or the like and W2 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or the like and A is a substituent connected by an oxygen atom or the like), R2 and R3 are an alkyl group, an aralkyl group or the like and X is an acid anion], a coupling component being a compd. represented by the formula II (wherein Y1 and Y2 are a hydrogen atom, a 1-18C alkyl group, a 7-21C aralkyl group or the like) and an org. base on a support. As a concrete example of the org. base, there are tertiary amines, pyperidines, amidines, formamidines or the like. |
