The adhesive composition is composed of (A) 25-60wt% emulsion-type acrylic copolymer with an average molecular weight of 10,000-500,000 and (B) 40-75wt% emulsion-type acrylic copolymer with an average molecular weight of 800,000-2,500,000. Acrylic copolymer (A) consists of 10-40wt% acrylonitrile, 20-70wt% alkyl acrylate having alkyl group of less than 5 carbons, 1-10wt% acrylic acid and 2-20wt% phosphorus vinyl monomer. Acrylic copolymer (B) consists of 15-50wt% acrylonitrile, 30-60wt% alkyl acrylate having alkyl group of less than 5 carbons and 1-10wt% glycidyl methacrylate. Phosphorus vinyl monomer is diethylvinyl phosphonate or diphenylvinyl phosphonate.
