<p>The cover/collector is designed to be fitted on the lower curved end of a suspension arm used on a motor vehicle manufacturing production line to collect mastic sprayed onto the underside of the vehicle. It can be made from plastic, is curved in shape to conform to the lower end of the arm and has a raised central section (13) and two side troughs (14) with raised outer walls (14).The central section has V-shaped ribs to guide the viscous material into the side troughs, and its upper end (11) is in the shape of a ring to clamp onto the arm (7). After use the cover can be removed from the arm and cleaned and, if necessary, the mastic removed from it can be treated and recycled.</p> |
