PURPOSE:To provide an audio decoder in which deterioration in tone quality of reproduced audio caused by maldetection of errors in audio coded parameters is prevented. CONSTITUTION:An audio decoder, which performs a decoding based on the audio coded parameters inputted for every frame and reproduces audio signals, is provided with a decoder 101 that decodes audio decoded parameters, an error detecting circuit 102 which detects errors in audio coded parameters, storage circuits 104 and 105 which store decoded audio coding parameters over two frames in that no error is detected, an interpolating circuit 106 which performs interpolation computations of the audio coded parameters read from the circuits 104 and 105 and an audio synthesizer 108 which selects the audio coded parameters of the frame in that no error is detected and the audio coded parameters obtained by the circuit 106 for a frame in which errors are detected by a switch 107 and reproduces audio signals. |
