PURPOSE:To provide a color filter-inspection apparatus capable of executing the visual inspection of various defects generated on the face of a color filter having a coloring layer and on the rear face thereof. CONSTITUTION:The apparatus comprises a light source 4 for penetration inspection that emits a light from the rear face 13 side of a coloring layer on a stage 2 reversibly holding a color filter substrate 10 and a rear face reflection light source 5 that emits a light on the rear face 13 when the rear face 13 is held opposing to a worker by reversing the color filter substrate 10.
