PURPOSE:To provide a navigation device where traffic information is displayed without interrupting the display of map information required by a user. CONSTITUTION:A navigation means 2 reads map information stored by CD-ROM 3 from CD-ROM3 and also detects the position of a movable body and the progress direction of the movable body. The position of the movable body and map information are displayed based on map information, traffic information received by a beacon receiver 12, the position of the movable body and the progress direction of the movable body and also, with the position as reference, a control circuit 7 gives an indication to an A/D converting circuit 8, a memory 8, a D/A converting circuit 10 and a video signal change-over means 4 so as to display traffic information at the position of the display screen, which is on the opposite side of the progress direction of the movable body. |
