PURPOSE:To provide the tabulation editing device which does not alter the form of a table as much as possible owing to the insertion or deletion of a field. CONSTITUTION:This device includes a ruled-line information storage part 20 which stores position information on a ruled line group, an alteration range specifying means 21 which specifies an alteration range wherein fields should be varied in width because of an inserted field, an alteration direction specifying means 23 which specifies whether the alteration direction of the alteration range is a row or column direction, a position specifying means 22 which specifies the position of the inserted field, a width specifying means 24 which specifies the width of the inserted field, a ruled-line moving means 25 which proportionally distribute the fields present in the alteration range to the area obtained by excluding the inserted field from the alteration range and moves the ruled-line group to the borders of the distributed fields, and a ruled-line adding means which adds ruled lines that become necessary as a result of the addition of the inserted field. |
