PURPOSE: To guarantee elimination of a sinusoidal system current as much as possible, to provide an improved system power factor compared with the conventional technology, and to make suitable to light a low pressure discharge lamp having a relatively high lighting voltage. CONSTITUTION: This circuit device interrupts the charging of a smoothing capacitor C2 to feed the power to an inverter WR by the switching rhythm of the inverter WR. And thereby, a system having the system power factor more than 0.98, and capable of removing a nearly sinusoidal wave form current is provided in cooporation with a storage reactor L1 preconnected to high-frequency wave rectifying bridges D1, D2, D3, and D4, and a system voltage rectifier output capacitor C1, and interacting with a negative feedback capacitor CG and a backup capacitor CS. |
