PURPOSE:To provide a discharge lamp lighting device and a lighting system capable of temperature control by simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:When the temperature of a cold cathode fluorescent lamp L, detected by a first thermistor Th 1, is ordinary temperature or higher, since the resistance value of the first thermistor Th 1 is low, a D.C./D.C. converter circuit 1 sets output voltage by a reference voltage source 5 at a normal time, and a dimming means sets voltage by a reference voltage source 6 at a normal time. When the temperature of the cold cathode fluorescent lamp L is low, since the resistant value of the first thermistor Th 1 increases, reference voltage is set by a low temperature reference voltage source 7 in the D.C./D.C. converter circuit 1 and the dimming means 3 to increase the output voltage of the D.C./D.C. converter circuit 1. Moreover, an on-duty ratio controlling a transistor Q1 is increased by the dimming means 3 to increase voltage to and the output voltage from an inverter circuit 2 to easily start and light the cold cathode fluorescent lamp L. |
