PURPOSE:To carry out analyzing operation precisely and smoothly by detecting and removing foreign substances such as fibrin, etc., adhering to a probe and a liquid level sensor during the suction, dispensing of a sample and reagent addition processes. CONSTITUTION:A probe 6 and a liquid level sensor 7 sucks a sample from a sample container on a sampler and dispensed to reaction cuvettes in a reaction part. On the completion of the dispensation the probe 6 and the sensor 7 are washed in a washing part. At that time, when a fibrin detecting circuit 12 detects foreign substances such as fibrin 10, etc., adhering between the probe 6 and the sensor 7, a CPU 13 rotates a pipette toward a foreign substance removing unit 9 by a pipette driving system 11. The unit removes the adhering foreign substances. That is, in the unit 9, a roll 9a of a coiled filter paper or thin paper having good absorption is so rotated as to sandwich the probe 6 and the sensor 7 with the filter paper by rollers 9c-9g. As a result, the adhering foreign substances such as fibrin 10, etc., can be wiped and removed. |
