PURPOSE:To display an optional range of a road map by scrolling the road map on a display through the use of an operation member operatable in plural directions. CONSTITUTION:A system is applied to a vehicle route guiding device with a vehicle speed sensor 1, a direction sensor 2, CPU4, the display 8, an operation board 9 and a joy stick 10. After a recommendable route is calculated by a departure place and a destination inputted by the operation board, CPU4 obtains the present vehicle position through the use of the vehicle speed sensor 1 and the direction sensor 2, decides the position of visual point and the direction of line of sight in the case of displaying by a bird's-eye view and the bird's eye view is displayed on the display 8. When the joy stick 10 is operated while the vehicle stops, manipulated variable is detected so as to obtain scroll quantity and the position of visual point or the direction of line of sight is changed. Thus, the optional range of the road map can be displayed only by operating the job stick 10. |
