PURPOSE:To prevent the faithful processing of a specific original by calculating a feature amount relating to color distribution provided in picture signals for each scanning and performing a prescribed picture processing corresponding to the difference of the feature amounts. CONSTITUTION:The prescribed picture processing is performed by using the picture signals obtained by optically scanning an original for plural times and pictures after the picture processing are outputted. Then, a calculation means 106 for calculating the feature amount relating to the color distribution provided in the picture signals for the respective plural times of the scanning is provided and the difference of the feature amounts for the respective scanning is judged in a judgement means 106. Then, the prescribed picture processing is performed corresponding to the difference of the feature amounts by a processing means 105. The feature amount is calculated based on the number of colors used for the original and the judgement means 106 judges that the original is replaced during the plural times of the scanning when the feature amounts are different. Thus, the replacement of the original during the scanning is judged and the picture data of the specific original is prevented front being read to a processor. |
