PURPOSE:To extract mechanical outputs in the two mutually crossed directions by generating vibrational displacement in a projecting section protruding from a columnar elastic body in the direction of the projection of the projecting section and the direction rectangular to the direction of the projection of the projecting section by two kinds of flexural vibrations excited in the columnar elastic body. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric actuator consists of a columnar elastic body 3, piezoelectric elements 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d fixed onto the elastic body 3, a projecting section 4, from which mechanical outputs are extracted, and support sections 5a, 5b supporting the elastic body 3, and mechanical outputs in the two directions can be extracted. |
