PURPOSE:To enable talking by means of writing even with a distant person in real time by building acceleration sensors, a character recognizing section, a voice synthesizing section and a voice signal output, such as speaker, into the above pen. CONSTITUTION:The acceleration sensors 2 to 4 which are arranged at a pen tip so as to intersect orthogonally with each other (x, y, z directions) sense the acceleration at a pen tip according to writing of characters when a user writes the characters that he desires to speak. The signal outputs are subjected to character recognition by any of a means for recognizing the characters written from the acceleration orbits themselves, a means for recognizing the characters written from the velocity orbits by once integrating the acceleration signals, a means for recognizing the characters written from the orbits of the characters formed by integrating the acceleration signals double and a means for recognizing the characters written by combinations of >=2 means among these three means in the character recognizing section 5. The signals of the recognized characters are sent to the voice synthesizing section 6 and are synthesized to voice signals in the voice synthesizing section 6; thereafter, the signals are outputted as voices from the speaker section 8. |
