PURPOSE: To prevent an execution serializing instruction from giving adverse influence to the execution of a succeeding instruction in the program sequence by dispatching the execution serializing instruction to an executing circuit before the specific instruction dispatched to the executing circuit ends. CONSTITUTION: In response to the input of an instruction from an instruction cache 14, a sequencer unit 18 selectively dispatch the instruction to a unit selected out of executing units 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, and 30. Each executing unit executes one or a plurality of instructions of a specific class of instructions. Then the unit 18 dispatches the specific instruction to the executing unit for execution and, thereafter, an execution serializing instruction, namely, an instruction for sequentially executing (serializing) the one or plural selected instructions before the execution of the specific execution ends. |
