PURPOSE:To make the whole light emitted from a surrounding body nearly parallel light by locating a stop between a light-emitting diode chip and the surrounding body which, being located before the light-emitting diode chip, surrounds the surface of the light-emitting diode chip and which has a lens. function. CONSTITUTION:The light 14e which is emitted from the center of a light- emitting diode chip 1a is refracted by an inner face 9 and outer face of a lens functioning section 8a and becomes the light 14f parallel to an optical axis 13. The light 14g which is emitted from an edge of a light-emitting section of the light-emitting diode chip 1a and passes near an edge of a stop 6a which is on the opposite side of the light-emitting section of the light-emitting diode chip 1a about the optical axis also passes through the internal face 9 and outer face of the lens functioning section 8a and becomes the light 14h nearly parallel to the optical axis 13. Out of the light which passes through the stop 6a, even the light 14g which is at the largest angle with respect the optical axis 13 can be nearly parallel to the optical axis. In other words, any light can be nearly parallel only if it passes through the stop 6a. |
