PURPOSE:To lighten the burden on a staff in charge, to improve the operability and reliability, and to facilitate the management and shorten the processing time at the time of the management of an important document received from a customer. CONSTITUTION:When a storing process for the important document received from the customer is inputted by an input means as a process item displayed at a display part 55, the important document management device which stores and manages the important document retrieves and locks the storage cassette of the staff in charge according to ID card data read by an ID card read means 53 and the password number of the staff in charge; when the important document 52 is stored therein, and management data read out of a recording medium are recorded in a memory part 57, the important document 52 is fed out of the storage cassette to a conveyance path and carried to a billing process part, where a specific billing process is performed. Then the important document 52 after the process is put back in the specific storage cassette and the data in a file part are updated as to the contents of the billing process which is done. |
