PURPOSE:To prevent the clearance of image joint from appearing as a video in the case of making a screen large and to make a device light in weight and easy-to-handle by combining a liquid crystal panel with a lens array where refractive index distribution type rod-like lenses are arrayed. CONSTITUTION:This liquid crystal display device is constituted of a liquid crystal surface 1, the lens array plate obtained by disposing the refractive index distribution type rod-like single lenses 41 to 43 in contact with each other and bonding them with a black adhesive 5, and a diffusing plate 3. Light emitted from a point 6 in a liquid crystal image P passes through the single lens 41, and is formed into an image at a point 7 on a formed image Q, and the light passes through the lens 42 adjacent to the lens 41 and is formed into the image at the point 7 on the formed image Q. Namely, the light emitted from a certain point on the image formed on liquid crystal is formed into the image on the diffusing plate by using 2 to 100 lenses adjacent to each other constituting a lens plate 2, and the images formed through the single lens are accurataely superposed. Therefore, even though a large screen is constituted by combining two or more screens, a boundary line is inconspicuous. |
