PURPOSE:To provide a lighting system of a simple structure with a small distor tion. CONSTITUTION:When a first switching device SW1 is turned on, a full-wave rectifier 22 charges a primary winding Tr11 of a leakage transformer Tr1. When the first switching device SW1 is turned off, the primary winding Tr11 charges a capacitor for smoothing C2. When a second switching device SW2 is turned on, the capacitor for smoothing C2 charges the primary winding Tr11 of the leakage transformer Tr1. When the second switching device SW2 is turned off, the primary winding Tr11 of the leakage transformer Tr1 and a capacitor for ripple C3 resonates and generates ripple current, which steps up the voltage from the full-wave rectifier 22. Then, the ac voltage generated in a secondary winding Tr12 of the leakage transformer Tr1 lights up a fluorescent lamp FL. |
