PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption to a half so as to use batteries for a long time by connecting two batteries in series to supply a two-fold voltage corresponding to a high voltage to a radio machine in the case of the transmission state requiring the high voltage and uniformly consuming power of two batteries in the case of the waiting and reception state using a low voltage. CONSTITUTION:In the speaking state, two batteries 1A and 1B are connected in series to supply a voltage 2E1 to a radio transmitter 9, where E1 represents the electromotive force of one battery. While a radio telephone set is waiting, two batteries are connected in parallel to supply the voltage E1 to a radio receiver 10 and a controller 8. Therefore, the current consumption is divided into two batteries 1A and 1B, and a load current is uniformly supplied. The same voltage E1 is supplied to the radio receiver 10 and the controller 8 through a voltage regulator 14. Since this switching is performed by a relay circuit 13 as a latching relay, the operating current is required only at the time of start of operation switching, and the holding current during the operation is unnecessary. |
