The bicycle frame (8) supports a saddle (2), handlebars (26) a pair of wheels (10,11) and a pedal and gear mechanism (4). The pedal mechanism and the rear wheel (10) each have a coaxial toothed wheel connected by a transmission chain (32) with tensioners.An arm (6), supporting respectively at its ends the pedal gear and the saddle, enables bringing together or distancing the pedal gear from the rear wheel rotational axis. The arm is pivoted on the frame between its two ends and has a gas actuator for hardening its pivoting. The arm powers pivoting (1,3) under the effect of a push exerted by the cyclist to allow adjusting his posture as a function of the forces which he provides.
