CONTROL DEVICE FOR PWM CONVERTER

PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of a harmonic current which is generated in same organization and superimposed on a power supply current. CONSTITUTION:This control device is provided with a transformer 410 which is mounted-on the electric rolling stock of same organization and has a plurality of secondary windings 410b and ternary windings 410c and conversion units 41 to 44 which are connected to the secondary windings 410b and have a plurality of single- phase converters 61 to 64 for converting a.c. power into d.c. power to supply the d.c.power to the respective loads 91 to 92 of each electric rolling stock and to perform parallel operation and for controlling the on and off timings of semiconductor devices of the single-phase converters 61 to 64 in response to the magnitude of a reference signal and a carrier. In addition, it is provided with a plurality of PWM converters 10 controlled under the condition that the phase of the carrier supplied to to the respective single-phase converters 61 to 64 in the conversion units 41 to 44 is shifted, a plurality of synchronization power supplies 15 for extracting a fundamental wave component from the ternary voltage of the ternary windings 410c and a carrier phase difference setting device 13 for for setting a desired phase difference between the carriers supplied for every conversion unit 41 to 44 on the basis of the fundamental wave component extracted from the respective synchronization power supplies.
