PURPOSE:To carry out easily and surely the centering of a frame, the positioning of an encoder rotating body in an axial direction, and the air-gap adjustment for a short time. CONSTITUTION:A hollow axle 3 of an encoder rotating body 2 is fixed to a rotating shaft 1 of a motor. The axle 3 has a reference face 11a at a given distance from an end face and a reference outer peripheral face 16a formed at an outer peripheral part. In an encoder stationary body 6, a frame 7 to be fixed on the motor side has a reference inner face 21a in accordance with the reference outer peripheral face 16a. In addition, the frame 7 is fixed on the motor side after these peripheral faces 16a and 21a are fitted to each other and aligned at centering. While a jig is put between a given face 5a on the motor side and the reference face 11a, the hollow axle 3 of the encoder rotating body 2 is aligned in an axial direction and fixed to the rotating shaft 1. |
