<p>PURPOSE:To provide an electron emission element capable of easily restraining the fluctuation of emission current, if any, in an electron emission element of field emission type, and generating stable emission current at all times. CONSTITUTION:An emitter section 10 and a nearby gate electrode 16 are formed on a base electrode 14 laid on a substrate 15. Also, the section 10 is formed out of an uppermost field emission layer 11, and a stack section having a plurality of alternately stacked layers of the first and the second emitter constitution materials 12 and 13. Furthermore, the stack section of the emitter section 10 is provided with a function for restraining an emission current fluctuation. According to this construction, stable emission current can be easily provided.</p> |
