PURPOSE:To miniaturize a device without requiring a mechanical component by providing a vibration source electrically varying the number of vibrations in a place where toner drops into a recovering part and vibrating recovered toner. CONSTITUTION:The toner remaining on the surface of a photoreceptor 1 is scraped by a cleaning blade 2 after development and recovered into a toner hopper 4 by a recovering screw 5. A piezoelectric element 6 is provided on the exit end of a recovering spring 5 come to the entrance of the toner hopper 4 and the toner recovered by the recovering screw 5 is temporarily dropped on the piezoelectric element 6 just before the toner is recovered into the toner hopper 4, vibrated while the number of vibrations is varied by the vibration source and then, dropped into the toner hopper 4. Therefore, even if the toner is a lump at the time of carrying by the recovering screw 5, the toner is pulverized when recovered into the toner hopper 4. |
