PURPOSE:To automatically prevent generation of fire and radio disturbance before happening in a lighting device for emitting light by glow discharge such as a neon tube. CONSTITUTION:An open/close device 1 such as TRIAC is provided in the primary electric current E side, a means 4a for directly or indirectly monitoring open/close action of the open/close device 1 and a monitor means 4b for monitoring secondary electric current E2 transformed voltage by a neon transformer are connected each other in a monitor, and both 4a, 4b constitute a monitor 4. Ordinarily, the open/close device 1 is closed so that a neon tube 3 is put on, and when an open/close device for lighting is provided, it is lit according to open/close action of the open/close device. When the secondary current becomes the set value or less, the open/close device 1 is 'opened' via an 'open' state fixation means 5 and the state is fixed so as to automatically shut power supply and prevent generation of accidents such as fire before happening. Incidentally, when the secondary current becomes below the set value, some malfunction that causes accidents such as arc discharge, highly possibly occurs in the circuit. |
