<p>PURPOSE:To generate driving torque regardless of relative displacement of stator and rotor by defining the cross-section of an air gap in the moving direction of an advancing field with a line and/or a curve and providing a winding for generating a traveling field in more than one slot on the stator side. CONSTITUTION:The rotating machine comprises a first stator, a rotor 33 facing the first stator, and a second stator 32 on the rear side of the rotor 33. The rotor 33 is formed of a metal, e.g. aluminium, into a cup. The first stator 31 is recessed to fit the curved surface of the rotor 33 and protruded or made flat on the opposite side. The second stator 32 is provided with a plurality of slots 34 in the plane facing the rotor 33 and a traveling field generating coil 35 is applied therein. The first and second stators 31, 32 are secured and the rotor 33 revolves about the rotary axis to function as an induction motor. This structure generates driving torque as a motor regardless of the relative position between the rotor and the stator.</p> |
