PURPOSE:To retain speed change timing at an appropriate value even though frictional element, etc., has dispersion, etc., in its quality. CONSTITUTION:A solenoid timer value is learned/controled so that a blowing quantity stays whithin a predetermined target range by a control unit C in an automatic transmission AT, and thereby the fastening timing of a 2-4 brake 23 is retained at an appropriate value so that occurrence of speed change shock is prevented. The target range is changed in response to the practical result of the solenoid timer value, the blowing quantity is retained approximately to the best blowing quantity even in such a unit, and the fastening timing of the 2-4 brake 23 is retained at the appropriate value in connection with the unit wherein the characteristics of the blowing quantity is out of standard due to dispersion, etc., in the quality of the 2-4 brake 23. |
