The automatic firearm is of small or medium calibre, and includes multiple tubes in a `Gatling` type arrangement. The weapon includes an ammunition feeding system and a loading and firing system (SC) having several pivoting chambers (20). The loading and firing system is placed in the firearm body and includes a loading block rotatably mounted on a fixed central shaft. Each chamber is mounted to pivot about a fixed rod (30) and is associated with a barrel, loading region (ZC) and firing region (ZT). The chamber is guided in the course of its movement by a fixed internal camshaft (32), and a fixed external camshaft (34) which are separated from each other by a constant distance corresponding to the diameter of the chambers.
