<p>The proposed transport system comprises: a foundation (1), at least one rail (2) with a top unit (3), and at least one mobile unit (4) with wheels (5) in contact with the rail (2) and provided with a drive unit (6). According to the invention, the system is provided with a cable (7) made up of individual wires (7a) or strips (7b) and under a tension N1 determined by formulae (I) and (II), where N2 is the tensile strength and Q is the weight of the mobile unit. The cable (7) hangs from alternate rigid and mobile supports (8, 9), and the top unit (3) of the rail (2) is connected to the cable (7) by means of an intermediate unit (10) of variable height, its height increasing towards the mid-point between the supports (8, 9).</p> |
