Sunken and recessed ignition key for integration in vehicle dashboard

An ignition key is operated across a pushbutton for the release of the key guard. The key adjusts itself back in to the zero position. It then projects outwards again from the dashboard. With the engine stopped, the steering wheel lock is activated.
