A precompression valve for a hydraulic clutch actuating device in a motor vehicle has a first union (3) for a master cylinder and a second union (4) for a slave cylinder, in which, in the event of a pressure drop from the first (3) to the second union (4), the valve is opened and is closed when the pressure from the second (4) to the first union (3) falls below a set precompression value. According to the invention, the precompression valve has two closing bodies, especially balls (20, 21) pressed against their seats (18, 19) by spring components (22, 23) between the two unions (3, 4). One valve seat (18) is arranged on the side of the first union (3) and the other seat (19) on the side of the second union (4). The valve seats (18, 19) extend from a component (5) arranged between the two unions (3, 4).
