Semi-finished prod. useful for making fibre reinforced components

A product or esp. a semi-finished product for the manufacture of shaped components, consists of a textile fabric with: (a) yarns (4) of a first material, and(b) yarns of a second material (5). At least the second material is thermoplastic with a softening temperature (glass transition temperature) lower than that of the first material. The yarns of different materials are equally distributed over the surface of the fabric.
