The unit can have any number of pistons (8) rigidly connected to one another, and arranged radially about an axis. The pistons are mounted on an eccentric shaft (9) or crank, and are moved to and fro in cylinders (6) by its rotation.The cylinders can be moved to and fro in guides (13), which are perpendicular to the pistons. The unit may act as a piston pump with preferably 3 or 4 pistons and cylinders. The cylinders may also have openings (7) in the cylinder walls, which run over induction and exhaust openings as the cylinders move to and fro.
