The spooler (1) has a rotator (2) carrying two spindles (3,4), which can be alternatively placed in a spooling and a swop location, and an ejector (3.1,4.1) for removing (7) full reels form the spindle, i.e. the rest spindle, in the swoop location. Here the winder has an elongated moving storage bar (8.1) to hold the full reels where one end of the bar is fixed to a swinging moveable support arm (8.2). The storage bar is swivelled, i.e. ejection, position, aligns with the rest spindle so that the bar axis runs parallel to the spool spindle in the swop location and can be swung from this ejection position to a swung position, i.e. storage location, at right angles.
