Sheets are fed between rollers 540 and then fall onto a stack supported on table 520, trailing edges of the sheets being guided at 552A as the sheets settle downwardly and rearwardly. One of the rollers is formed with a resilient projection 542, which engages with the trailing edge of each sheet when the sheet is leaving the roller nip. The height of table 520 may be adjusted by inserting projections (not shown) on the table edge into selected sockets 530. Alternatively, the table may pivot about its edge remote from wall 522, and either be settable to a selected pivot position or be urged upwardly by a spring. Walls 514, 516, 515 may be set to confine the stack.
