Anti-surge method and device for marine structures.

The method reduces to a small value the alternate movement of surging due to the swell between side by side floating (2) and fixed marine structures (1). It consists of installing on the floating structure stops (9 - 12) which can be placed facing the support surfaces of the other structure. The stops are movable in a direction parallel to the direction of movement of the surge. The stops are brought into contact with the support surfaces of the first structure and held pressed elastically against them with a predetermined force. This allows a relative alternate movement between each stop and the structure in the two directions of surge movement. The stops are immobilised relative to the floating structure at the moment the speed of surge movement is zero. <IMAGE>
