<p>An apparatus for interconnecting wheelchair batteries having a pair of boxes (C,D) with flanges (10) extending from side walls thereof, and a wheelchair sub-frame assembly (A) which provides concise placement of the boxes in an electrically interconnected suspended position. The sub-frame assembly (A) has an open end (28) into which the boxes are inserted, a pair of spaced apart parallel guide rails (B) each having a smooth surface for slidably receiving and supporting the boxes by their flanges, and a closed end (32) having a cross-brace (30) rigidly connected therebetween. A first pair of mateable electrical connectors (72,132) are connected to the first and second boxes (C,D), respectively and conduct current between batteries thereof. A second pair of mateable electrical connectors (74,130) are connected to the first box (C) and the cross-brace (30) and conduct electricity between the battery of the first box (C) and the electric motor (27). <IMAGE></p> |
