The bed structure is designed to utilize the soft wood of the temperate zone in place of the usual hard wood of the tropical zone. the structure comprises: side members(1) for right and left sides; flat plate members(2) whose both ends respectively being fitted into the side members; back endblocks(3) of the side members(1) receiving the ends of the plate members(2) one over the other in a vertical stack in respective slots to form a head rest(4); a bed section(6) formed into a flat body section(5) by the plate members(2) laid side by side with both ends received securely in the respective slots of the side members(1); front endblocks(7) of the members(1) receiving the ends of the plate members in a stack in respective slots to form a front head rest(8). The section members are prefabricated to be assembled into a sturdy structure.
