<p>The pair of jaws (20,40) mounted on the arms (1a,1b) of a clamp (1) clamp the collar (10). The collar is formed from a wound metal band (11) having two end parts each having a leg (12,14) directed radially outwards from the collar. Each jaw has a front face (22,42) which abuts against the collar legs. The front faces of the jaws each have a hollow housing having a bottom and two walls. The lower and upper walls project from the bottom. The hollow housing of one jaw (40) is located transversely in the middle part of the front face and has a plane bottom. The hollow housing of the other jaw (20) is located transversely in the middle part of the front face (22) and the bottom of this housing has a middle reinforcement. This leaves in the bottom two lateral portions parallel to the reinforcement and located on either side of it. <IMAGE></p> |
