PURPOSE:To raise adhesion and mounting strength so as to improve sealing property by driving and thrusting a fixture made of a thin metallic plate, which is heated to a temperature higher than the softening temperature of base resin, into a base thereby softening the resin so as to fix itself. CONSTITUTION:The base 31 of a weather strip is made of thermoplastic resin mainly composed of hard vinyl chloride resin, and a mounter 20 made of a metallic thin plate is heated into a temperature enough for the resin of the base 31 to soften. Here, it is driven while softening the resin of the base 31 from the side of the tip 21 of the mounter, and the section which has not entered the base 31 out of the root 22 of the mounter is bent at a fold 24 along the weather strip into a bend 23. Accordingly, the weather strip and the mounter 20 stick fast to each other without space, and the fixing strength is enlarged, and there is no danger of sound leakage or water leakage, and it can be lightened. |
