PURPOSE: To provide an improved air bag module and installation method whereby an air bag module door is positioned in an opening of a vehicular trim and the door is jointed to a unit in the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: This invention is related to an air bag module door 16 and installation method whereby the air bag module door 16 is jointed to an air bag module unit 12 by one or more flexible legs. The flexible legs permit the so jointed air bag module door 16 to be desirably positioned within an opening in a vehicular trim. Once so positioned, the air bag module unit 12 is rigidly secured to the vehicle.
