PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material excellent in running properties at the time of recording and good in chemical resistance and water resistance. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material wherein a thermal recording layer containing a colorless or light-colored basic dye and a coupler is provided on a support, as the coupler, 4,4'-bis(p-toluenesulfonylaminocarbonylamino) diphenylmethane is used and a composite particle emulsion of a self-crosslinkable acrylic emulsion and colloidal silica (A) and/or colloidal silica and an acrylic polymer or styrene/acrylic polymer (B) is added to the thermal recording layer. |
