<p>PURPOSE:To measure the oxygen saturation ratio and bloodstream nearly concurrently by providing the first and second light emitting elements generating the light with different wavelengths, a driving circuit illuminating the light emitting elements, and the first and second light receiving elements receiving the transmitted or scattered light on biological tissues. CONSTITUTION:When a driving circuit 6 illuminates the first and second light emitting elements 1, 2 in turn, the second light receiving element 4 outputs the signals corresponding to the transmitted or reflected light on biological tissues 5 in turn. An oxygen saturation ratio calculating means calculates the oxygen saturation ratio in the blood pulsating in the biological tissues 5 based on the signals corresponding to the light with the first and second wavelengths. When the driving circuit 6 illuminates the first light emitting element 1, the light is transmitted or reflected on the biological tissues 5, and it is changed in response to the movement of the bloodstream in the biological tissues 5. The first and second light receiving elements 3, 4 detect the signals corresponding to the transmitted light quantities at the positions apart from each other by the prescribed distance. A bloodstream calculating means calculates the flow velocity of blood 5a based on the correlation function of these outputs.</p> |
