AIR PURIFYING AND DEODORIZING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To simultaneously and efficiently remove both of tobacco smell and smoke by fundamentally constituting an air purifying and deodorizing device of an electric precipitator and a honycomb-shaped deodorizing filter. CONSTITUTION:An air purifying and deodorizing device is constituted by arranging a fan 2 in a main body so as to suck indoor air from a suction port 1 through a prefilter 6 to blow out the same from a blowoff port 5. An electric precipitator 3 and a honeycomb-shaped deodorizing filter 4 are arranged to the air passage of the main body in series. At this time, an air passing amt. is set to 4m<3>/min or more and the one-pass removal ratio of tobacco smell is set to 40% or more and pressure loss is set to 10mmH2O or less and the one-pass removal ratio of tobacco smoke is set to 40% or more. The deodorizing filter 4 is composed of paper made of mixed pulp produced from a dispersion containing phosphoric acid, a porous carrier and a cellulose fiber by a papermaking method. The potential difference between the electric precipitator 3 and the deodorizing filter 4 is set to 2kV or less.
