PURPOSE:To reduce a construction period by adopting a square-shaped segment which is popular as a general purpose service and simplifying the formation of a curved segment even when forming a curved-shaped tunnel and advancing excavation with such curved segments and assembling the segments simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:In a shield driving method wherein an underground soil in excavated with a shield machine and segments 4 are arranged in the shape of a ring in a rear shell 2, and rings are formed one after another, thereby a cylinder-shaped tunnel is formed where the segments 4 comprise square-shaped curved plates which are equivalent to a shape formed by cutting the cylindrical surface of a cylindrical body having linear areas and curved areas in the peripheral direction and axial direction. The length of the rear shell 2 of the shield driving machine is such that it may enclose the portions of two rings inside. A shield jack 3 is formed in multi-type two stroke structure and designed to assemble segments while driving underground. |
