DYE FOR GREEN FILTER, RESIST COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE DYE, METHOD OF PRODUCING GREEN FILTER USING THE COMPOSITION, AND GREEN FILTER OBTAINED BY THE METHOD

PURPOSE:To obtain a dye with which a green filter excellent in fineness, color tone, color density, etc., can be obtained by mixing two specific dyes each having a sulfonamide group in which one hydrogen atom has been replaced with a substituent. CONSTITUTION:The dye is a mixture of a dye (a) having absorptions at wavelengths of 500nm and shorter and having a sulfonamide group in which one hydrogen atom has been replaced with a substituent and a dye (b) having absorptions at wavelengths of 550nm and longer and having a sulfonamide group in which one hydrogen atom has been replaced with a substituent. Examples of the dye (a) include azo dyes, e.g. monoazo and bisazo dyes. Examples of the dye (b) include phthalocyanine dyes and anthraquinone dyes.
