PURPOSE:To prevent reversing of a fed sheet of paper resulting from various causes and at different timings by furnishing a pressing member and a swingable leading edge holding lever located over an intermediate tray, and therewith pressing the sheets accommodated on the intermediate tray so that they are hindered from moving oppositely to the accommodating direction. CONSTITUTION:To hinder the sheets on an intermediate tray 110 from reversing, a leading edge holding lever 105 is installed in the leading edge guide part 150a of an upper guide plate 150 in such a way as swingable round a pin 107 as fulcrum. The lever 105 is formed by attaching a rubber piece 106 to the tip and energized clockwise by its own weight. Each sheet transported from the accommodation part 130 is intruded between the rubber piece 106 and an aligning plate 110a and accommodated while heaving the lever 105 by the transporting force of an accommodating roller 131 or 133. With the increase in the amount of sheets accommodated, the lever 105 is heaved gradually. Thereby the sheets constituting the uppermost layer of the stack on the tray 110 are hindered from reversing by the pressing force of the lever 105. |
