PURPOSE:To suppress clogging at the front end of a catheter even in the case of dosing of thick nutrients and powder and granular drugs together with water by setting the bore in the part corresponding to the specific ratio of the overall length from the opened front end of the catheter larger than the bore in the remaining part. CONSTITUTION:This transintestinal nutrition catheter 1 allows the nutrients and drugs dosed into a juncture 2 to flow down to the stomach and the intestines through an operator side tube 3, a tapered part 4 and the front end 5. The bore of the part corresponding to 1/50 to 1/3 of the overall length from the front end of the catheter 1 is set larger than the bore in the remaining part. Namely, the bore at the front end 5 of the catheter 1 is set larger than the bore of the operator side tube 3. The tapered part 4 accompanying the change of these diameters is formed between the front end 5 and the operator side tube 3. At this time, the ratio of the front end to the overall length of the catheter 1 is set at, for example, 1/6. As a result, the clogging of the powder and granular material at the front end 5 is suppressed. |
